3. The Charlotte Symphony
   The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra believes that orchestral music nurtures the human spirit and is integral to the preservation and development of our American culture. It is our mission to perform a broad range of this music, including appropriate genres of American traditional and popular music, at the highest possible professional standards consistent with fiscal responsibility. 4. North Carolina Dance Theatre
   Founded in 1970, North Carolina Dance Theatre is the oldest professional ballet company in North Carolina. Today, the organization enjoys a national reputation for excellence in programming, education and outreach, and dance training.
    
5. Charlotte Children’s Choir
   Founded in 1986, the Charlotte Children’s Choir serves the community by providing quality music education with the goal of attaining the highest level of artistic excellence in choral music performance.  The Choir serves children generally between the ages of 8-18 and enriches the lives of children from all religious, ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds.
