Tropical Connections, co-owned by Joyce Matthews and Charles(Chip)
Templeton, is a shop inspired by a love of travel and art. Although tiny,
the shop, mananaged by Joyce, is big on awakening the senses with
its unique blend of colorful limited edition prints fine gifts, and home
accents.
The art in Tropical Connections is by renowned artists introduced to the
area by Joyce and Chip. They include Carol Garvin, James Harris,
Barry Barnett, and Steven Jordan. Examples of prints, beautifully framed,
adorn the shop's boldly painted and very tropical pink and white walls.
Tropical Connections offers custom framing done in-house by Joyce and
Chip both of whom have art backgrounds. They specialize in museum
quality framing and take special pride in their work.
Other lines in the shop include Blue Sky, Clay Works, Sealed with a Kiss,
Bovano,Authentic Models, and Maine Buoy Bells. All of the lines add a touch
of elegance as well as whimsy to the shop's offerings.
Tropical Connections, located in downtown Mooresville, is open 10-12 noon
Mondays and 10-5:30 Tuesday - Saturday, or for appointment when necessary
